Overview & Objectives
The Advanced Asbestos Awareness for Construction course from Exceed Safety is a certificate-level online course designed specifically to meet the annual OSHA and Asbestos Hazard Emergency Response Act (AHERA) regulatory requirements in one easy-to-digest course. Participants of the course will receive site-specific asbestos awareness information designed specifically for the construction industry.
The course focuses on areas in which asbestos-containing materials (ACM) or presumed asbestos-containing materials (PACM) might be present. This asbestos awareness training is required upon initial assignment and is ideal for those who may come in contact with ACM or PACM but do not interact with such materials during their work activities (designated as Class IV operations).
NOTICE: Workers whose job functions may result in the interaction or disturbance of ACM or PACM must undergo additional training.
Exceed Safety’s Advanced Asbestos Awareness for Construction online training course focuses primarily on the hazards associated with asbestos in the workplace. All those who conduct asbestos abatement operations, in most cases, must be licensed by a state or federal agency.
