Overview & Objectives

The New York Right-to-Know Awareness course from Exceed Safety & ClickSafety establishes the knowledge that all employees have the right to know about hazardous chemicals one may come into contact within the workplace. The New York State Right-to-Know (RTK) laws follow’s both OSHA’s Hazard Communication Standard (HCS) regulatory requirements, as employers are required to identify and inventory any hazardous chemicals in the workplace, as well as share the information and location of the written HazCom program and Safety Data Sheets (SDSs).

Also, there are specific NY state requirements for public employees that is presented in this module.

Throughout this course, participants can expect to learn what New York State’s RTK laws cover, as well as educate and protect participants about potentially hazardous chemicals in the workplace.
