Overview & Objectives
The Ergonomics for the Floor Employee for General Industry online safety course from Exceed Safety is an intermediate-level training in which participants will receive in-depth knowledge and training regarding ergonomics safety for those working on the floor of a manufacturing, warehousing, or similar worksite. Participants can expect to become familiar with hazards evaluation practices, how to control hazards in the workplace, and how to use ergonomics in the workplace to avoid musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs).
NOTICE: This training is based on OSHA General Duty Clause, Section 5(a)(1).
Exceed Safety’s Ergonomics for the Floor Employee for General Industry online training provides participants with the resources needed to recognize and evaluate ergonomic hazards in the workplace. Specific course topics include the following:
- Introduction to ergonomics in general industry
- Ergonomics and MSDs
- Ergonomic-related hazards
- Simple solutions for ergonomic hazards

The Ergonomics for the Floor Employee for General Industry online safety course is designed for employees working on the floor in the general industry sector, including those deemed responsible for workplace safety in accordance with OSHA regulations. Individuals who will specifically benefit from this course include the following:
- Manufacturing assemblers and employees on production lines or stations
- Material processors and/or handlers
- Warehousing and distribution centers
- Packing operators

Exceed Safety’s Ergonomics for the Floor Employee for General Industry online safety training offers participants a solid foundational knowledge regarding ergonomic principles and their application in the workplace. Upon successful completion of this course, participants can expect to:
- Be aware of common hazards and exposure patterns
- Understand the benefits of utilizing good ergonomics
- Know how to use a safety checklist to ensure workers are healthy and productive
All course participants must complete the full course to receive 0.1 CEU credits. Participants must achieve a score of 100% at each knowledge checkpoint and fill out the course evaluation to receive his or her certificate of completion. Upon successful completion, participants will receive a course completion certificate showing the CEUs earned that may be printed at any time.
In Person Training
Participants in this course can expect to be engaged with a dynamic, intentional, and highly experienced instructor. Our in-person class allows for questions to be answered immediately, open discussions, and hands-on learning. Some classes can be done via Zoom (just give us a call) and can be combined with virtual-blended learning. It is our goal to teach with a variety of strategies that allow everyone to be engaged in a fun and comfortable learning environment.
