Overview & Objectives
In New York City, Local Law 196 of 2017 (LL196) requires that workers and supervisors receive safety training if their sites designate a construction supervisor, site safety coordinator, or site safety manager. Once fully phased-in on March 1, 2021, this law mandates that workers at certain worksites receive 40 hours of safety training and supervisors receive 62 hours of safety training.
The NYC SST – 22-Hour Supervisor Upgrade Pack includes nine courses and 22 hours of advanced training designed specifically to fulfill supervisorial requirements. This safety pack is intended for those who have already completed 40 hours of safety training and will provide NYC-based supervisors with the remaining training needed to reach the 62-hour requirement.
