OSHA Focus Four Hazard Awareness For Construction

Overview & Objectives

Because of the tasks performed and the equipment used, construction sites can be a dangerous place unless special care is taken in safety training and hazard prevention. Most job site fatalities are the result of four common hazards identified by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) as the Focus Four. By taking OSHA Focus Four Hazard Awareness for Construction, workers, supervisors, and managers learn how to identify and prevent these hazards, including electrical hazards, fall hazards, struck-by, and caught-in or –between dangers to minimize the risk of serious injury or death in the workplace.

With greater awareness of OSHA’s Focus Four Hazards, course participants can help reduce on-the-job accidents and injuries. To this end, this course covers the following topics:

This course was designed for members of the construction workforce who are responsible for workplace safety per OSHA regulations, including the following:

Additionally, they will learn more about common injuries caused by these hazards and how to prevent accidents that could lead to physical harm or fatalities.

In Person Training

Participants in this course can expect to be engaged with a dynamic, intentional, and highly experienced instructor. Our in-person class allows for questions to be answered immediately, open discussions, and hands-on learning. Some classes can be done via Zoom (just give us a call) and can be combined with virtual-blended learning. It is our goal to teach with a variety of strategies that allow everyone to be engaged in a fun and comfortable learning environment.
