Overview & Objectives
This Overhead Crane Inspector training is an introductory-level course that provides participants with the knowledge and standards associated with periodic overhead crane inspections. This training will cover industry standards, including ASME B30.2, ASME B30.16, ASME B30.17, ASME B30.21, and CMAA Spec 70, 74, and 78.

- Types and classifications of Overhead Crane Inspector
- Record-keeping required for overhead crane operations

- Runways and wheels
- Chain hoists (electric and manual)
- Lever tools
- Crane structure
- Cabs and platforms
- Controls

- Wire ropes, sheaves, and chains
- Electrical systems
The Overhead Crane Inspector course will introduce and familiarize participants with crane inspection standards, inspection criteria, federal OSHA regulations, and more. Upon successful completion of this course, participants can expect to:
