Overview & Objectives
The PPE Common for Construction online safety course from Exceed Safety is designed specifically to focus on the varying types of protective equipment individuals can use to protect themselves from common construction hazards and how to avoid potential injuries in the workplace. The course follows OSHA’s regulations regarding common PPE, and all participants will be familiarized with the different types of appropriate equipment for the head, eyes and face, arms and hands, and feet and leg protection.
Exceed Safety’s PPE Common for Construction online course teaches individuals about current PPE available and how to select the proper equipment for individual job types. Participants can expect to be informed on proper usage, as well as the appropriate maintenance and storage of the PPE. Specific course topics include the following:
- Introduction to PPE and common types
- General issues associated with PPE
- Head protection
- Eye and face protection
- Emergency eye and body wash
- Arm and hand protection
- Foot and leg protection
Specific industry terms discussed throughout the duration of the course include the following:
- PPE
- OSHA and state standards
- OSHA CFR 29 1910.156

Exceed Safety’s intermediate PPE Common for Construction online course will teach all participants the proper way to both use and maintain PPE necessary for safety on any construction jobsite. Upon successful completion of this course, participants can expect to:

- Understand the appropriate PPE required for different and particular jobs
- Understand the importance of maintaining PPE equipment and how to properly store such equipment for longevity and safety
In Person Training
Participants in our in-person courses can expect to be taught by our most skilled and experienced instructors. Our instructors strive to make our in-person classes dynamic by incorporating meaningful activities that allow peer-to-peer discussion and collaboration, hands-on learning, and real-life examples. Participants will also be able to have most questions answered while attending the class. Some of our classes are available via Zoom (just call us for more information) and can be combined with virtual-blended learning.
