Overview & Objectives
Electricity powers the modern workplace, but it can also present a number of safety hazards for workers, including burns, shocks, and even electrocution. To protect yourself and promote a safer work environment, it’s important to stay aware of these hazards and best practices for minimizing and avoiding them. Workers, managers, and supervisors can stay up-to-date on their electrical safety training by completing 100 Questions and Answers on Electrical Safety for General Industry online.
During this intermediate online course, students will receive 100 commonly asked questions on electrical safety with detailed answers. The questions are broken down into critical topics in workplace electrical safety, including:
- Safety Standards
- Hazard and Risk Analysis
- Personal Protective Equipment
- Safety Grounds
- Approach Boundaries
- Safety Equipment
- Arc Flash and Arc Fault
- Lockout /Tagout (LOTO)
- Checking for Absence of Voltage
- Electrical Safety Definitions
All questions focus on key definitions and terms, preparing students for the quiz at the end of the course.
