Overview & Objectives
The Job Site Safety Awareness for Construction is designed to perform as an introductory online safety course regarding job site safety and common health hazards associated with the construction field. Participants in the online course will receive training on hazard identification, avoidance, and necessary control measures.
Exceed Safety’s online Job Safety Awareness for Construction course discusses the necessary safety programs, as well as OSHA’s Focus Four Hazards. This is an introductory-level course that will dive into work planning, personal protective equipment (PPE), materials handling, general housekeeping, and diversity in the workplace. Specific course topics include the following:
- Introduction to job site safety/orientation
- General job site safety
- OSHA’s Focus Four
- Electric safety
- Fall protection safety
- Struck-by safety
- Caught-in or -between safety
Industry terms that will be discussed at length include the following:
- OSHA’s focus four
- Site hazards – sharp edges and protrusions
- Site hazards – underground excavations

In Person Training
Participants in this course can expect to be engaged with a dynamic, intentional, and highly experienced instructor. Our in-person class allows for questions to be answered immediately, open discussions, and hands-on learning. Some classes can be done via Zoom (just give us a call) and can be combined with virtual-blended learning. It is our goal to teach with a variety of strategies that allow everyone to be engaged in a fun and comfortable learning environment.
