Overview & Objectives
The Welding/Hot Work for Construction online safety course from Exceed Safety is designed to familiarize participants with the common safety hazards, safe work practices, and necessary control techniques surrounding welding operations. Following OSHA’s welding regulations, this course teaches participants to do engage in safe work practices to mitigate and prevent potential workplace injuries.
Exceed Safety’s Welding/Hot Work for Construction course teaches participants safe work practices, adhering to OSHA’s regulations surrounding welding safety. Participants will learn about the different kinds of welding hazards, including fumes and gases, fire and explosions, electric shock, and more. Participants will review safety data sheets (SDSs), the personal protective equipment (PPE) required for welding work, and applicable supervisory requirements. Specific course topics include the following:
- Welding definitions
- Welding hazards and risks
- Hazard evaluation
- SDSs
- General safety guidelines regarding welding

In Person Training
Participants in this course can expect to be engaged with a dynamic, intentional, and highly experienced instructor. Our in-person class allows for questions to be answered immediately, open discussions, and hands-on learning. Some classes can be done via Zoom (just give us a call) and can be combined with virtual-blended learning. It is our goal to teach with a variety of strategies that allow everyone to be engaged in a fun and comfortable learning environment.
